Why
Affordable Housing?
The San Francisco Bay Area ranks at the bottom of housing affordability nationwide for both owners and renters. Though opportunities to rent or buy luxury homes abound, the supply of housing that most people can afford is severely limited. This problem affects all kinds of households, with a variety of income levels, who struggle to make ends meet and keep roots in their communities.
Oakland Community Housing, Inc. (OCHI) finds creative ways to meet our region’s diverse range of unmet housing needs. We are equally committed to improving the neighborhoods where our homes are located, and to helping people gain self-sufficiency and greater opportunity.
