Donald Gilmore

Oakland Community Housing, Inc. is pleased to announce that our Interim Executive Director, beginning in December 2006, is Donald Gilmore. As the Executive Director of the Community Housing Development Corporation of North Richmond (CHDCNR) since 1992, Don is known for spearheading comprehensive neighborhood revitalization efforts, including affordable housing and related services. Under Don’s leadership, CHDCNR has completed over 1100 units for affordable rental and homeownership; created and operated programs that foster economic and leadership development for neighborhood residents; built diverse partnerships as well as a strong internal organization to achieve economic improvement for traditionally disinvested neighborhoods; and extended the company's reach to serve communities throughout Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. Don will continue his leadership at CHDCNR while working with us. We are delighted to welcome Donald Gilmore to OCHI, and look forward to his contributions.
