Awards to OCHI
OCHI is honored to have received the following awards in 2006:
The Manufactured Housing
Institute (www.manufacturedhousing.org) named OCHI’s Linden Terrace homeownership development the “Best
Manufactured Subdivision in the US” in April.
The California Housing Consortium (www.calhsng.org) inducted OCHI
into its Housing Hall of Fame, as part of its inaugural class, recognizing
30+ years of contributions to the affordable housing field.
The Northern California Community Loan Fund (www.ncclf.org) awarded
a Community Impact Award to OCHI, recognizing our innovations in
affordable homeownership.
Affordable Housing
Magazine (www.housingfinance.com) named OCHI’s
E Street homeownership development, completed in fall 2005, as a
finalist in its Readers’ Choice Award competition.
Housing Rights, Inc. (www.housingrights.org) presented an award
to OCHI and its development partners, North Oakland Missionary Baptist
Church and Downs Community Development Corporation (founded by Downs
Memorial United Methodist Church), in September, for our collaborative,
faith-based housing development work.
